Pakistan T20I captain Sahibzada Farhan has joined an elite group of batters with more than 3,000 runs in T20 cricket since the start of 2025, placing him among the top five run-scorers during this period.
Farhan has scored 3,007 runs in 83 innings at a strike rate of 151.1, placing him fourth on the list alongside Nicholas Pooran, Tim Seifert, and Jos Buttler. He also sits ahead of India’s Abhishek Sharma.
Most T20 Runs Since 2025
| Player | Innings | Runs | Strike Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nicholas Pooran | 110 | 3,179 | 149.8 |
| Tim Seifert | 102 | 3,167 | 152.3 |

Farhan’s achievement follows a strong run of performances in international and domestic cricket. He finished as the leading run-scorer in the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup with 383 runs at a strike rate of 160.25.
He broke Virat Kohli’s record of 319 runs in a single edition of the tournament, set in 2014, and became the first batter to score two centuries in one Men’s T20 World Cup, achieving the feat against Namibia and Sri Lanka.
Farhan also topped the batting charts in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, scoring 449 runs in 12 innings at an average of 37.41.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently appointed him as Pakistan’s T20I captain, replacing Salman Ali Agha ahead of the home series against Sri Lanka.
Farhan made an impressive start to his captaincy on October 9, scoring 89 off 53 balls, including 10 fours and four sixes, to help Pakistan secure a four-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi.
Chasing a target of 183, Farhan shared a 54-run opening partnership with Fakhar Zaman before adding 92 runs with Maaz Sadaqat, who scored 50 off 29 balls.
Pakistan reached the target with seven balls remaining to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series, with Farhan named Player of the Match.
Sri Lanka had earlier posted 182/8, led by Lahiru Udara’s 91 off 55 balls. Naseem Shah took three wickets, while debutant Muhammad Imran claimed two.
Farhan had also led Pakistan to a silver medal at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan, where the team lost to India in the final.
