The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 243rd consecutive day on Friday.
The British Pound (GBP) could drop below Rs. 370 next week after today’s drop. Energy shocks currently haunt European commodity markets so a drop is expected, a day trader told ProPakistani.
Meanwhile, PKR closed at 277.25 after gaining one paisa against the US Dollar today.
The rupee has consistently reported gains against the dollar since December 25, 2025.
Other Currencies
The rupee gained 54 paisas against the British Pound (GBP) but lost 34 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD).
It lost 21 paisas against the Euro (EUR) but gained 20 paisas against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).
PKR gained one paisa against the UAE Dirham (AED) and was stable against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).
