Rockstar Makes Emotional Statement After GTA 6 Leaks

Rockstar Games has broken its silence over the recent Grand Theft Auto VI leaks and described the unauthorized gameplay footage appearing online as “heartbreaking”.

The developer said the leaked videos were not how it wanted players to see the highly anticipated game.

Rockstar said it understands that fans have been waiting a long time for GTA 6, adding that the game is now “nearly” finished.

“We know that many of you have been waiting to hear from us regarding the events of the past week,” Rockstar said. It acknowledged that the leaks may have spoiled parts of the game for some players but urged fans to wait for the official release.

Rockstar also confirmed that it will share an extended official look at GTA 6 soon. The presentation took longer than originally planned because the team wants to exceed players’ expectations.

The developer thanked the GTA community for supporting the team following the leaks.

“Ultimately, we are making this game for you,” Rockstar said.

GTA 6 is currently scheduled to launch on November 19. Rockstar said it looks forward to showing players more of the game ahead of its release.
