RDA Orders Resolution of Issues in 6 Private Housing Schemes

Rawalpindi Commissioner and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General Salman Ghani on Friday directed officials to resolve pending issues involving six private housing schemes in accordance with Lahore High Court directives.

Ghani chaired a hearing at the RDA director general’s office to review the outstanding matters following the court’s directions. Owners, sponsors, legal representatives, and affected residents of six housing schemes attended the proceedings.

The schemes included Metro City Gujar Khan, Bahria Town, Mega City, Mumtaz City, The Avenue, and Top City. During the hearing, Ghani listened to the concerns and complaints of participants individually and reviewed the outstanding issues associated with each housing scheme.

He directed the RDA law officer to take immediate legal action in accordance with the Lahore High Court’s directions and ensure effective follow-up to resolve the pending matters without delay.

The commissioner also instructed the RDA chief planner to take immediate and effective steps to address outstanding issues and ensure timely action on complaints from affected residents. Ghani emphasized that officials must resolve all matters promptly and strictly follow the high court’s directions.
