Tayyab, described as Punjab’s largest ice (crystal meth) dealer, was killed in an encounter with the Counter Corruption Department (CCD) in Faisalabad, while three of his accomplices managed to flee the scene.
According to details, CCD officials signaled four suspicious men riding a motorcycle to stop at a checkpoint near Bahadurwala Bridge.
The suspects allegedly opened fire, and in the ensuing exchange, main accused Tayyab was killed, while his three unidentified associates escaped.
Officials said drugs worth millions of rupees were recovered from the deceased, including 34kg of ice, 20kg of opium, and 14kg of hashish.
Initial investigation revealed that Tayyab operated a highly organized network, using women to supply drugs to students at educational institutions across the city.
Authorities said his brother, Waqas, is also part of the network, and raids are underway to arrest him. A search for the three fugitive accomplices is ongoing.
