The University of the Punjab has announced pre-result selection trials for sports-based admissions for the 2026-27 academic session.
Trials for male candidates will be conducted from August 10 to August 17, 2026, while female candidates will appear from August 18 to August 24, 2026. The schedule covers more than 30 sports, including cricket, hockey, football, athletics, swimming, boxing and basketball.
Applicants must have a proven record of participation or achievement in recognized sports competitions. They must also have appeared in the Punjab University admission test or the relevant departmental test and meet the academic requirements of their selected program.
Candidates must bring a printed admission form, CNIC copy, educational records and original sports certificates. They should report at the scheduled venue in the proper kit and bring their own sports equipment.
Students admitted on a sports basis may receive full tuition and dues waivers, scholarships, medical coverage and other benefits. Female athletes may also qualify for free accommodation and meals at the university’s sports hostel.
All trials will be held at different venues in Lahore. The complete sport-wise schedule, reporting times and venues are available on the Punjab University website.
