The Punjab School Education Department has released a non-salary budget of over Rs. 4.08 billion for primary, elementary, and higher secondary schools across 36 districts for the 2026-27 financial year.
The funds, totaling Rs. 4.08875 billion, will cover non-salary expenditures of government schools and will be disbursed through cheques via National Bank of Pakistan branches in respective districts, according to a prescribed schedule.
Among the district-wise allocations, Lahore schools will receive Rs. 161.78 million, Faisalabad Rs. 225.97 million, and Rawalpindi Rs. 142.08 million. Gujranwala has been allocated Rs. 129.16 million, while Sialkot will get Rs. 138.01 million.
Bahawalnagar schools have been allocated Rs. 167.128 million, and Bahawalpur will receive Rs. 144.08 million.
The released funds are earmarked strictly for approved non-salary expenses and will be utilized throughout the 2026-27 financial year.
