Punjab Police Revises Welfare, Scholarship and Medical Aid Benefits
Punjab Police has introduced major changes to its scholarship, medical assistance, and welfare facilities, while also increasing the marriage gift amount.
Under the new notification, the marriage gift for a daughter has been fixed at Rs 250,000. For the daughter of a police employee who dies during service, the amount has been raised from Rs200,000 to Rs500,000, while the daughter of a martyred employee will receive Rs750,000.
The claim for the marriage gift must be submitted within two years of the wedding.
The notification also sets new scholarship amounts, including a one-time grant of Rs20,000 for Class IV employees, Rs50,000 annually for FA and FSc students, and Rs60,000 annually for graduate students.
For special education, monthly support of Rs75,000 or annual assistance will be available, along with medical aid of up to Rs1.5 million.
For cancer treatment, serving employees can receive Rs1 million, while their wives and children can get Rs500,000. For minor surgery, employees will receive Rs150,000 and their wives and children Rs100,000.
The notification says medical claims must also be submitted within two years.
