The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the Punjab Excise Department have opened online registration for October’s premium vehicle registration number auction.
Citizens can bid for custom motorcycle, car and commercial plates through the e-Auction portal until October 31.
According to the PITB, the e-Auction platform allows users to participate in the auction of registration numbers for motorcycles, motor cars and commercial vehicles.
Details of successful bidders are also made available through the application, ensuring transparency in the process.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the platform uses modern digital technology to provide a seamless, secure and transparent mechanism for citizens to bid for their preferred vehicle registration numbers.
He said digitising the auction process improves efficiency, speeds up service delivery and strengthens transparency while making the process more convenient for citizens.
Yousaf said the initiative reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to expanding digital public services and delivering technology-driven solutions that improve the overall citizen experience.
The e-Auction app and web portal also eliminate the need for physical visits, allowing users to complete the registration process online with ease.
The initiative is part of the Punjab government’s broader effort to modernise public service delivery through digital transformation and improve accessibility, transparency and operational efficiency across government services.
