The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has launched an online review facility that allows citizens to challenge incorrectly issued e-challans and submit supporting evidence digitally.
Citizens can log in to the official e-challan website, access the review section and upload relevant documents or evidence to support their complaint.
According to PSCA, an e-challan found to have been issued incorrectly will be canceled within 24 hours after verification.
Officials have advised citizens to use the facility only for genuine complaints to ensure the system remains efficient and accessible to people facing legitimate issues.
The initiative aims to improve transparency in the e-challan system and provide citizens with a convenient way to resolve errors while encouraging responsible road behavior.
Meanwhile, traffic authorities in Karachi have introduced stricter measures against motorists driving on the wrong side of the road.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah said wrong-way driving had become a serious concern in the city. Traffic officers have been equipped with modern devices to issue challans more effectively across Karachi.
He also announced that a Special Traffic Flow Unit (STFU) would soon be deployed on major roads to improve traffic discipline.
According to officials, around 36 locations have been identified in Karachi where wrong-way driving violations are most frequent.
The DIG Traffic added that Karachi’s faceless tracking system, also known as the e-challan system, has replaced manual challans but is not yet fully operational across the city.
He said the system had brought both advantages and challenges and was currently unavailable on University Road, one of Karachi’s busiest roads.
