The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) said 34 applications for enterprises in Punjab’s Special Economic Zones (SEZs) were approved in September 2026, representing potential investment of more than Rs. 76 billion and a pipeline of over 7,000 jobs.
The approvals followed coordination between SIFC, the Punjab government, the Punjab Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA), and zone developers Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) and Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC).
The applications involved land allocation and other pending approvals.
The proposed investments cover textiles, ceramics, chemicals, agricultural processing and engineering.
The approvals represent planned industrial projects across these sectors, although the stated investment and job figures reflect potential rather than confirmed spending or employment.
SIFC has been coordinating with provincial authorities, SEZA Punjab and the two industrial estate developers to process pending applications and address delays in land allocation and regulatory approvals.
