Punjab Approves Rs. 45.13 Billion for 3 Major Health Projects

The Punjab government has approved Rs. 45.13 billion for three major health programs, with funds to be released on the basis of performance.

According to official documents, the amount has been included in the non-development budget for the current fiscal year 2026-27.

The largest allocation, Rs. 30.63 billion, has been approved for the first, second, and third phases of the Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics program.

Another Rs. 10 billion has been allocated for Maryam Nawaz Rural Hospitals under the financial assistance model, while Rs. 4.50 billion has been approved for the Punjab Family Planning Program.

The approved funds will be used for health clinics and family planning facilities across the province. With the allocations now incorporated into the current fiscal year’s budget, the way has been cleared for the release of funds.
