Punjab Announces Schedule for Census of Govt Schools

The Punjab government will conduct its annual school census for the 2026–27 academic year across 38,000 government schools from October 21 to 31.

The Program Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU) has released an online training schedule to prepare teachers and education officials for the exercise.

Under the schedule, master trainers were scheduled to receive training on October 16, followed by online sessions for IT teachers, Assistant Education Officers (AEOs), and head teachers from October 17 to 19.

Male and female IT teachers nominated from each tehsil will serve as master trainers. The training will cover IT teachers from all high and higher secondary schools, as well as heads of mosque-based schools, primary schools, and elementary schools.

A trial exercise is also scheduled for October 19 and 20 to prepare the census module.

All nominated teachers and officials have been directed to attend their respective training sessions to ensure the census is completed by October 31.
