Instructions for Teachers
The department has directed all Chief Executive Officers of District Education Authorities (DEAs) to ensure the proper tagging of promoted teachers in the SIS portal.
Under the Punjab E-Transfer Policy 2024, promoted teachers who fail to secure postings because they submit insufficient preferences or do not select any vacant positions can be assigned to available vacancies by the department.
The same rule applies to teachers awaiting postings. The appointing authority or School Education Department can assign them to any available vacant post through the SIS portal if they fail to provide sufficient preferences.

Eligible teachers must submit their transfer preferences through the official School Information System (SIS) portal during the application period.
Applicants should review available vacancies and select suitable posting preferences before submitting their requests.
The department will verify applications and supporting documents from October 20 to October 22, followed by the resolution of raised concerns from October 23 to October 26.
