The Pakistan Super League (PSL 12) has confirmed that its 12th edition will run from March 18 to May 2, 2027, with all eight franchises returning to compete for the title.
The tournament window was finalized following consultations with key stakeholders after the PSL Governing Council meeting in London on September 1, 2026. Owners and representatives of all eight franchises attended the meeting.
The announcement sets the stage for direct signings, player retention announcements, the trade window, and the player auction. Dates for those activities, along with the full match schedule, venues, and ticketing arrangements, will be announced later.
PSL 12 follows a 2026 season that introduced an eight-team format and replaced the player draft with the league’s first auction.
Peshawar Zalmi won PSL 11 by defeating debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets in the final on May 3, ending a nine-year wait for their second title. The final at Gaddafi Stadium attracted a record crowd of 32,461, according to the league.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the board was committed to delivering another outstanding season, while PSL CEO Salman Naseer described the window announcement as the first step in preparations for the 2027 tournament.
