Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) will hold elections for its Central Executive Committee (CEC) on September 17, with 548 registered members eligible to vote.
A total of 17 candidates have been shortlisted for the elections. Members will elect 10 representatives to the CEC for a two-year term.
The CEC will have seven members from the corporate category and three from the associate category, with two seats reserved for women.
After the elections, CEC members will elect the association’s Chairman, Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman.
Two former P@SHA chairmen, Dr. Shaoib Khan and Muhammad Zohaib Khan, are also contesting the elections for CEC seats.
The elections come as P@SHA has faced leadership challenges in recent months, raising the importance of the new leadership at a time when Pakistan is seeking to expand its IT exports.
The government has set a target of increasing IT exports to $10 billion by FY2030.
