Private Schools Face the Action Over Summer Vacation Violations |Happy or strong disagree?

The District Education Authority (DEA) Rawalpindi has issued show-cause notices to 14 private educational institutions for holding classes and other academic activities during the officially notified summer vacation.

According to a notice issued by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) DEA, the institutions continued regular academic activities despite the Punjab School Education Department’s summer vacation schedule, which runs from May 22 to August 23, 2026.

The DEA said the institutions violated official directives by operating during the notified summer break and could face administrative action under the regulations governing private educational institutions.

The authority has directed the principals or authorized representatives of the institutions to appear before the CEO (DEA) for a personal hearing. They must also submit written explanations and relevant supporting documents.

The DEA warned that institutions that fail to appear or provide a satisfactory response could face ex parte proceedings based on the available record. The authority has also directed all private schools to immediately stop ongoing classes during the notified summer vacation.
