Private and other non-government institutions outperformed government schools in the BISE Multan 9th Class Result 2026, according to an analysis of the board’s institution-wise gazette.
The figures show that non-government institutions recorded an estimated weighted pass rate of 69.97%, compared with 45.84% for government schools a gap of more than 24 percentage points.

Although government schools had approximately 16,700 more candidates, non-government institutions produced around 3,000 more successful students.
The comparison indicates that private and non-government schools held a clear advantage in the SSC Part-I First Annual Examination 2026.
Private Schools Led in Every District
The BISE Multan jurisdiction includes Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran and Vehari. Non-government institutions recorded a higher pass percentage in all four districts.

Private and non-government institutions in Multan district achieved the strongest sector result, with a calculated pass rate of 72.67%.
Government schools also recorded their highest district-level rate in Multan, but their performance remained nearly 25 percentage points behind the non-government sector.
Multan Board’s Overall 9th Class Result
The board’s statistical gazette shows that 140,675 candidates appeared in the examination. Of these, 73,301 passed, producing an overall pass percentage of 52.11%.

The gender-wise figures also revealed a considerable difference in performance.

Science Group Recorded a Higher Pass Rate
The Science group remained the largest academic category, with 120,213 candidates appearing and 65,931 passing. Its overall pass rate was 54.85%.
Among regular Science candidates, 89,346 appeared and 52,878 passed, resulting in a pass rate of 59.18%.
Regular female Science candidates recorded a pass percentage of 68.57%, compared with 50.29% among regular male candidates.
