Private affiliated schools outperformed government schools in the BISE Dera Ghazi Khan 9th Class Result 2026, securing a considerably higher pass percentage among regular candidates.
An analysis of the appeared and passed figures in the official result gazette shows that private affiliated schools recorded a pass rate of 62.64%, compared with 45.09% for government schools. This placed private schools ahead by 17.55 percentage points.
Government schools, however, produced more successful candidates because they had a substantially larger number of students appearing in the examination.

Government schools enrolled 24,190 more candidates and consequently produced 6,019 more successful students. Private schools nevertheless performed better when the results were measured by pass percentage.
The comparison covers regular candidates enrolled in government and private affiliated institutions. It does not classify independently registered private candidates as private-school students.
Private Schools Led in Every District
Private affiliated schools achieved a higher pass percentage than government schools across all six districts listed in the DG Khan Board gazette.

The widest performance gap appeared in Dera Ghazi Khan, where private schools led government institutions by 24.49 percentage points.
Muzaffargarh recorded the highest pass rates for both sectors. Private schools achieved 65.93%, while government schools registered 54.45%.
Girls Outperformed Boys in Both Sectors
Female students recorded stronger results than male students in government and private affiliated schools.

Girls studying at private affiliated schools achieved the strongest performance, with a pass rate of 70.81%.
Private-school boys also remained ahead of government-school boys by 15.36 percentage points. Among government institutions, girls led boys by 10.48 percentage points.
Science and General Group Comparison
Private schools maintained their advantage in both the Science and General groups.

The private-school lead was particularly wide in the General group, reaching 30.27 percentage points. However, only 353 private-school candidates appeared in this group, compared with 3,162 government-school candidates.
In the Science group, 48,895 government-school candidates appeared and 22,766 passed. Private affiliated schools recorded 17,270 successful candidates out of 27,514 appearances.
Overall DG Khan Board Result
BISE DG Khan declared the SSC Part-I First Annual Examination result on September 2, 2026. The examinations were conducted from April 17 to May 8.
According to the gazette, 106,001 candidates appeared across all categories. A total of 51,081 candidates passed, producing an overall pass percentage of 48.18%.

Who Dominated the Results?
Private affiliated schools clearly dominated the DG Khan Board’s 9th Class results when performance was measured by pass percentage. Their calculated pass rate of 62.64% was 17.55 percentage points higher than the government-school rate.
Government schools still accounted for more successful students in absolute numbers because they had nearly twice as many candidates.
