Popular Toyota Corolla Model Discontinued in Pakistan

Toyota has discontinued the current Corolla, likely to clear the way for an upcoming facelifted version.

Car manufacturers usually stop production of an outgoing model before introducing an updated version, and recent spy shots support the possibility of another Corolla facelift.

The spotted car appears to be based on the existing 11th-generation Corolla.

However, Toyota has officially confirmed only the discontinuation of the current model.

What Did the Corolla Spy Shots Show?

The recently spotted Corolla showed several exterior changes, including:

  • Revised front grille
  • New bumper design
  • New alloy wheels
  • Minor changes to the rear bumper
  • Front parking sensors, which the outgoing model does not offer

There may also be interior changes, but they were not visible in the spy photos.

A complete picture of the updated features, specifications, and interior changes will only become clear once Toyota officially unveils the model.

Third Facelift for the Current Corolla

If launched, the new version would become the third facelift of the current-generation Corolla in Pakistan.

Facelift Year Main Changes
First 2017 Introduced in August 2017 with a new chrome front grille, LED headlights with DRLs, redesigned tail lamps, and dual SRS airbags across the lineup
Second 2021 Corolla X launched in January 2021 with a full black interior on top trims, extended front and rear bumper lips, and a body styling kit
Third Expected Spy shots show a revised grille, new alloy wheels, parking sensors, and minor bumper changes

Toyota Appears to Be Sticking With the 11th-Generation Corolla

The removal of the current Corolla from Toyota’s lineup, combined with recent spy shots, strongly points toward another facelift.

However, Toyota Pakistan has not officially announced the new model or released any teasers on its social media channels.

Global markets moved to the 12th-generation Corolla in 2018, but the expected facelift suggests Toyota has no immediate plans to introduce that generation locally.

Instead, the company appears set to extend the life of the existing 11th-generation Corolla with another cosmetic update.
