Pokémon Go code redemption: How to get Charmander with goggles

Charmander made of pumpkins

The world is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Pokémon, and if you’re still playing the franchise’s popular mobile game Pokémon Go, one of the original 151 Pokémon is back with a fresh accessory.

As spotted on Reddit before being officially announced on X, Pokémon Go players can get a special version of Charmander wearing goggles by redeeming a Pokémon Go code on the game’s website. Simply go to the website, sign in to your account, and put in the code “0004POKEMONGO” to start a series of activities that will eventually lead to an encounter with this special Charmander.

The event expires on Sept. 22, as it’s a limited-time thing related to the Pokémon Horizons: The Series anime. (Those goggles belong to Professor Friede, if you must know.) According to Reddit, you’ll have to do the following things to meet this Charmander:

  1. Catch 10 Pokémon

  2. Catch 20 Pokémon

  3. Use 5 berries to help catch Pokémon

  4. Make 10 Nice Throws

That all sounds straightforward enough. Go do that before next week and get yourself this cool little guy for your collection.
