PMD Predicts Monsoon Weather for Sindh

Sindh is likely to remain largely dry for the rest of August as no major monsoon system is currently expected to affect the province, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The weather department said hot and humid conditions are expected across most parts of Sindh today. However, light drizzle may occur at isolated places in coastal areas and Tharparkar district.

Karachi is also expected to remain mostly cloudy and humid over the next three days, with chances of light drizzle at some locations during the morning and nighttime hours.

The city’s maximum temperature is expected to remain between 32°C and 34°C today, while hot weather is likely to continue over the next 24 hours.

According to the PMD, August could pass largely without rainfall in Sindh as no monsoon weather system currently appears likely to influence the province during the month.
