Pakistan International Airlines has prepared a plan to increase its flights to Europe and the United Kingdom.
PIA has started considering leasing five aircraft from international companies, as the airline looks to expand its fleet before adding new planes.
Sources said two aircraft are being considered for wet lease from European airline Norse Atlantic, while talks are also under way to lease three more aircraft on a dry lease basis.
According to sources, paperwork for the induction of new aircraft is moving quickly at PIA headquarters.
The planned expansion is part of efforts to strengthen the airline’s international operations and improve its flight network.
