The Parks and Horticulture Authority has prepared a plan to restore and renovate 808 parks across the city.
According to PHA Managing Director Ahmed Usman Javaid, students and civil society will also be involved in the restoration process to make the parks more attractive and better for citizens.
He said the authority will take further steps to improve the care of trees after geo-tagging them. He added that new measures are also being introduced to make the city brighter and more visually appealing.
Ahmed Usman Javaid said the PHA will also carry out better plantation in the city’s grey areas. He added that projects such as the Linx of Lahore and the Green Corridor will play an important role in improving the city’s beauty and the authority’s performance.
He further said Independence Day will be celebrated with enthusiasm, and special arrangements will be made to decorate the city in green and white.
