The All Pakistan Petrol Pump Owners Association has urged the government to review the daily petroleum pricing mechanism, saying a promised reassessment of the policy has yet to take place despite the passage of the agreed timeline.
In a letter sent to the Minister for Petroleum, the association said a meeting held on July 22 concluded with an agreement to review the daily fuel pricing policy after two weeks.
The association said the two-week period has now expired, but no review of the policy has been carried out.
It called on the government to finalize its decision on the daily pricing mechanism after consulting all relevant stakeholders.
The association also urged the government to honor the commitment made during the July 22 meeting and implement the decisions recorded in the meeting minutes.
