Peshawar BRT to Get 52 New Buses

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has purchased 52 new buses to expand the fleet of the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system and improve transportation facilities for commuters.

Of the 52 newly purchased buses, 25 have arrived at Karachi Port after being transported from China. The remaining 27 buses have also been dispatched from China and are expected to arrive in Pakistan as part of the fleet expansion.

The new buses will be added to the existing Peshawar BRT fleet, which currently consists of 244 buses operating across the system.

Once all 52 new buses become operational, the total number of buses in the Peshawar BRT fleet will increase from 244 to 296.

The additional buses will expand the system’s capacity and provide more transportation options for residents using the BRT service.
