Pakistan’s petroleum exports reached an all-time high of $939 million in FY26, increasing 3.9 percent from $903 million in FY25, as lower domestic furnace oil (FO) demand and a shift toward low-sulphur petroleum products supported export growth.
The export value has risen sharply over the past three years, climbing from $553 million in FY24 to $903 million in FY25 and further to $939 million in FY26.
Topline Securities said the latest increase reflects growing exports of low-sulphur products, including Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO), which is primarily used as marine fuel.
Petroleum exports have recorded significant fluctuations over the years. They stood at $676 million in FY19, before falling to $369 million in FY20 and $235 million in FY21.
Exports recovered to $415 million in FY22, but declined to $291 million in FY23 before rebounding to $553 million in FY24.
The FY26 figure marks the highest petroleum export value recorded in the period, surpassing the previous record of $903 million in FY25.
