PTCL Board Approves Bid to Buy Majority Stake in Undisclosed Firm
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has approved the submission of a binding offer to acquire a majority stake in an unidentified target company, marking the latest step in its proposed acquisition process.
According to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), PTCL’s Board of Directors approved the binding offer during a meeting held on July 30, 2026.
The company did not disclose the identity of the target or the proposed transaction value.
PTCL said the proposed transaction remains subject to successful negotiations, completion of due diligence, execution of definitive transaction documents, and the receipt of all required corporate, regulatory, and statutory approvals and consents.
The company added that the commercial consideration and other key terms of the transaction are still being finalized and that no definitive agreement has been executed at this stage.
PTCL said it will keep the stock exchange informed of any material developments related to the proposed acquisition.
