The Sydney Marathon route begins in North Sydney and takes runners across the Sydney Harbour Bridge before passing through several well-known parts of the city. The race finishes near the Sydney Opera House.
Sydney Marathon is now part of the World Marathon Majors, giving recreational runners the opportunity to compete on the same global stage as some of the world’s leading marathon runners.
For the Pakistani participants, the race was about more than finishing times. For some, it was a personal challenge, while for others it offered an opportunity to experience the international marathon circuit, represent Pakistan and turn months of preparation into a finish-line achievement.
