However, a fact-check circulating on social media has questioned whether the players in the video are actually part of the senior Pakistan women’s team.
According to the fact-check, the footage features members of Pakistan’s Under-19 women’s team. It also stated that Wahab Riaz and Umaid Asif are part of the senior women’s team management and are not associated with the Under-19 setup.
If the claim is accurate, the viral video has been incorrectly linked to the senior team and Wahab Riaz.
Wahab has previously held several roles in Pakistan cricket, including chief selector of the national men’s team. He currently serves with the Pakistan women’s setup, where he is involved in the team’s training and planning.
