Pakistan women’s netball team defeated Thailand 55-50 in the final of the Asian Netball Championship 2026 Plate Division to claim the title and secure qualification for the Cup Division.
Pakistan remained composed throughout the final, combining effective teamwork with disciplined execution to finish five goals ahead of Thailand.
The victory capped an impressive campaign for the national side and secured Pakistan a place in the Cup Division of the next Asian Netball Championship, which will be held in Singapore in 2028.
Saba Noor Anwar, Maya, Lia Raza Shah, Hina Chaudhry, Serena Naseem, Jasmine, Farah, Noor-ul-Ain and Samaya Safdar were among the players who made important contributions during Pakistan’s campaign.
Pakistan had booked their place in the final after defeating Japan in the semifinal on Friday.
The 55-50 victory over Thailand completed Pakistan’s Plate Division campaign with the title and qualification for the 2028 Cup Division.
