Pakistan Red Crescent Announces Nationwide Volunteer Program

The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has opened registrations for a nationwide volunteer program under its Red Million Movement.

The initiative aims to build a network of one million trained volunteers across Pakistan. These volunteers will support communities during disasters, health emergencies and humanitarian campaigns.

According to the official PRCS announcement, the movement will train and empower young people and other citizens to serve communities before, during and after emergencies.

Who Can Join the Program?

The Red Million Movement is open to all Pakistani citizens aged 16 years or above.

Applicants can select an area of interest according to their skills and preferred type of volunteer work. The announcement does not mention any registration fee or application deadline.

Available Volunteer Tracks

Candidates can select from the following five volunteer tracks:

These tracks allow volunteers to participate in awareness campaigns, blood drives, emergency relief operations, community activities and other humanitarian projects.

How to Register for the Red Million Movement

Interested candidates can register by scanning the QR code provided in the official announcement or by visiting the PRCS Volunteer Portal.

Applicants must complete the online registration form and provide the required personal information. They will also need to submit their CNIC or B-Form details and select their preferred area of interest.

Candidates should enter accurate information because it may be used for verification, training and volunteer deployment.

Selection and Training Process

After registration and verification, selected applicants will attend a PRCS orientation session. The session will introduce them to the organization’s fundamental principles and code of conduct.

Volunteers will then complete core training in first aid and disaster response. PRCS may also offer specialized training based on the volunteer’s selected track and operational requirements.

Successful volunteers will receive an identification card and volunteer kit. They may then be deployed for PRCS campaigns, emergency operations, blood donation drives and community activities.
