Pakistan Navy ships HUNAIN and YARMOOK seized more than 2,800 kilograms of narcotics during a joint counter-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
The Navy vessels were conducting a routine patrol when they intercepted a suspicious boat. Navy personnel then carried out a boarding operation and recovered the narcotics from concealed compartments, according to ISPR.
The seized drugs have an estimated value of approximately $750 million.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf praised the officers and crew of the two ships for their professionalism and vigilance. He also reaffirmed the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime security and efforts to combat illicit trafficking at sea.
President Asif Ali Zardari also praised the personnel involved in the operation and highlighted the Navy’s role in protecting Pakistan’s maritime boundaries and sea routes.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the officers and personnel, praising their professionalism, vigilance and surveillance. He said the Navy plays an important role in preventing illegal trafficking through the sea.
