ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings

1 India 36 4,122 115
2 New Zealand 35 3,809 109
3 South Africa 34 3,547 104

5 Australia 35 3,568 102

The rise in the rankings follows Pakistan’s convincing 87-run victory over England on Tuesday, with all-rounder Arafat Minhas delivering a match-winning performance.

Minhas scored 59 off 58 balls before claiming career-best bowling figures of 6/40 to help Pakistan extend its winning streak in the tournament.

Batting first, Pakistan recovered from a difficult position of 81-4 to post 302-9. Hasan Nawaz top-scored with 79 off 74 deliveries, while Saad Baig contributed 35 runs. Faheem Ashraf added a quick 39 off 26 balls to strengthen Pakistan’s total.

In response, England was bowled out for 215 despite Tom Banton scoring 57 and Ben Duckett adding 45.

Minhas led Pakistan’s bowling attack, removing key batters, including Will Jacks and Adil Rashid, in consecutive deliveries. He also ran out Gus Atkinson to complete an impressive all-round display.

Pakistan will now aim to maintain its winning momentum in the tri-series as it looks to further strengthen its position in the ODI rankings.
