OGDCL and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) have opened admissions for the fourth batch of their free technical training program.
The three-month program targets young people from selected OGDCL operational areas across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan. Training will take place at the NAVTTC Centre of Excellence in Modern Technologies, Islamabad.
According to the admission notice, OGDCL will fully fund the program, which includes free training, certification, accommodation, and financial support. The deadline to apply is 7 October 2026.
Courses Available
The program offers nine courses covering digital skills, technical trades, fashion, and hospitality.
Applicants can choose E-Commerce and Digital Marketing with AI integration, Advanced HVACR, or Fashion Designing and Dressmaking.
Other options include Industrial Electrician and Solar PV Technician, Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Advanced Welding, and Advanced CNC/Machinist training.
The remaining courses are Hospitality Expert, focused on professional chef training, and Auto-Mechanic with E-Vehicle training.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old and have at least a Matric qualification. They must also hold a valid Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC).
Candidates must have a permanent or temporary address in one of the districts or areas listed in the admission notice. The opportunity is specifically for youth from the identified OGDCL operational areas.
The organisers have particularly encouraged women to apply.
Eligible Districts and Areas
In Punjab, eligible applicants include residents of Chakwal, Attock, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rawalpindi, Rahim Yar Khan and Jhelum. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the listed districts are Lakki Marwat, Kohat, Karak and Orakzai.
Residents of Ghotki, Sukkur, Sanghar, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Khairpur, Jamshoro, Badin, Tando Muhammad Khan, and Sujawal can apply under the Sindh quota.
The Balochistan quota covers Dera Bugti North, Dera Bugti South, Jhal Magsi, Musakhel, and Barkhan.
Stipend and Other Benefits
Selected trainees will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 5,000 and a total travel allowance of Rs. 15,000 for the program. The application portal also confirms free hostel accommodation and meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
OGDCL will cover the cost of training and certification. The admission notice also lists industrial visits, recreational visits, and soft skills training among the program’s benefits.
Students will receive instruction from qualified faculty and have access to laboratory facilities, according to the notice.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the OGDCL-NAVTTC application portal. The online form asks applicants to provide their personal information, select a course, and choose their district from the eligible list.
Candidates may alternatively submit a hard-copy application at the NAVTTC Centre of Excellence in Islamabad. Applications must be submitted by 7 October 2026.
