Nothing has unveiled the Headphone (1) Pro, its new flagship over-ear headphones featuring a triple-driver setup, upgraded active noise cancellation, and a premium build using glass, titanium, and aluminium.
The headphones use a 40mm dynamic driver for bass, a second precision dynamic driver, and an xMEMS driver with a silicone diaphragm for treble.
Audio and ANC
The Headphone (1) Pro supports Dynamic Spatial Audio with head tracking and offers several listening modes, including Standard, Live House, Club and Concert Hall.
There is also a dedicated mode based on Studio B by Metropolis Studios. The headphones carry Hi-Res Audio certification.
Nothing has upgraded the active noise cancellation system with a total of 10 microphones. The company claims the headphones can reduce noise by up to 46dB.
The Headphone (1) Pro supports AAC, SBC, LDAC, and LC3 codecs.
Design and Controls
The overall design remains similar to the original Headphone (1), but the new model adds a scratch-resistant glass enclosure on the outside.
Nothing has also used lightweight titanium and an aluminium frame. The Nothing Headphone (1) Pro weighs 327g and is available in Black and White.
The padding is thicker, while the headband is 10% wider than before. The earcups are more flexible, and Nothing says the cushions are softer than those on the previous model.
The headphones carry an IP52 rating and feature tactile physical controls.
A dedicated Switch button allows users to toggle the Flat EQ.
Connectivity and Battery
The Headphone (1) Pro supports Bluetooth 6.1, Google Fast Pair, and Microsoft Swift Pair.
It also supports instant setup on Apple devices, dual-device connectivity, a low-latency mode, and automatic wear detection.
The headphones include a 1,060mAh battery. Nothing claims up to 30 hours of battery life with ANC enabled and up to 68 hours with ANC turned off.
Fast charging is supported through USB-C.
A padded carrying case is also included with the headphones.
