Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Monday inspected several major infrastructure projects in Karachi, including Shahrah-e-Bhutto, the Korangi Causeway Bridge and the Korangi No. 5 flyover, to review their progress.
Additional Sindh Chief Secretary Dr. Wasim Shamshad and other officials accompanied him during the visits. Officials briefed the minister on ongoing construction work and progress on various development projects.
At Shahrah-e-Bhutto, Shah reviewed development and beautification work on surrounding roads and directed authorities to accelerate construction. He also inspected the loop connecting Shahrah-e-Bhutto with DHA and the link road leading to Ayesha Mosque, directing officials to complete the corridor quickly.
Shah said the link road would provide an important transport facility for residents and stressed the need for its timely completion. The minister also inspected the Korangi No. 5 flyover, which he said had entered its final stage. He said authorities would soon open the project to traffic, providing relief to commuters in Korangi.
At the Korangi Causeway Bridge, Shah reviewed construction work on Roads 12000, 13000 and 20000, along with adjoining service roads. He directed officials to accelerate work on major road infrastructure projects and warned against unnecessary delays in completing development schemes.
Shah said authorities were working to complete the projects ahead of schedule and were prioritizing unfinished development schemes on the directives of the Sindh chief minister.
