China will gift Pakistan a fleet of 21 modern fire and rescue vehicles worth Rs. 3 billion to improve emergency response and disaster management in Islamabad.
The Chinese Embassy in Pakistan on Tuesday announced that the fleet will arrive in September and will significantly improve the capital’s emergency response capabilities.
The vehicles will include an advanced 88-meter snooker tender, designed to support rescue operations in high-rise buildings and other difficult emergencies across Islamabad.
The Chinese Embassy said the initiative reflects the two countries’ continued commitment to public safety and disaster response under their long-standing strategic partnership.
The announcement comes after Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s recent visit to China, where discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the two sides.
