Asus has introduced the Chromebook CX15 for users seeking a simple laptop designed around cloud-based applications. The device combines ChromeOS, Google AI features, and a lightweight design for students, young professionals, and first-time laptop buyers.
The launch also marks Asus’ first Chromebook rollout through offline retail stores.
Display and Design
The Asus Chromebook CX15 features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS NanoEdge display. The screen offers 300 nits of brightness, an anti-glare coating and an 87% screen-to-body ratio.
The laptop weighs 1.59kg and comes in a Pure Grey finish inspired by traditional Japanese washi paper.
It also meets MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability standards for everyday use and travel.
Hardware and ChromeOS
The Chromebook CX15 runs ChromeOS and uses the Intel Processor N50. Asus pairs the processor with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage.
According to the company, the hardware can handle web browsing, online classes, document editing, video calls and other cloud-based workloads.
Google AI Features
The laptop integrates closely with Google’s ecosystem and provides access to AI-powered tools for work, education and entertainment.
Buyers receive a three-month Google AI Pro membership. The subscription includes premium Gemini features across Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Gemini Notebook, along with 5TB of cloud storage.
The package also includes Google Flow for AI video creation, advanced editing tools in Google Photos, Nano Banana image generation and YouTube Premium Lite.
Battery and Price
Asus claims that the Chromebook CX15 can provide up to 12.5 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The company includes a 45W USB Type-C charger in the box.
Security features include the Titan C security chip, automatic ChromeOS security updates, and a physical webcam privacy shutter.
The Asus Chromebook CX15 costs approximately $500.
It is now available through Asus Exclusive Stores, ROG Stores, the Asus eShop, Reliance Digital and other authorized retail partners.
