NCCIA Arrests Around 200 Foreigners in Islamabad Call Center Raid

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested around 200 foreign nationals during a major raid on a call center in Islamabad’s I-9 industrial area.

The operation targeted a call center operating in the area’s factory zone. Based on information obtained from those detained, NCCIA teams subsequently carried out dozens of raids at different locations across the federal capital, according to reports.

The arrests come amid a nationwide crackdown on cybercrime, with the NCCIA recently reporting the arrest of 1,129 suspects and the recovery of Rs. 105.3 million, which was returned to victims.

According to the agency’s latest monthly performance report, the NCCIA received 5,176 complaints, launched 4,491 inquiries, and registered 272 cases during the first month since Director General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi assumed charge.

Rizvi has reaffirmed the agency’s zero-tolerance policy against cybercrime, stressing that protecting citizens from online threats remains a top priority.
