The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recovered 66 kanals and 11 marlas of amenity land from a private housing society in Peshawar and transferred it to the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Shah Alam.
NAB documents value the recovered land at approximately Rs. 1.86 billion. The land, located in Khazana Greens housing society in Mouza Khazana, Tehsil Shah Alam, District Peshawar, had been designated for public facilities and civic infrastructure, including parks, roads, graveyards and public buildings.
NAB completed the transfer and mutation of the land in favor of TMA Shah Alam. NAB sources said the bureau is working with LUBCA to recover amenity plots reserved for public facilities from private housing societies and transfer them to the relevant local regulatory authorities.
An NAB KP official said housing societies must transfer land reserved for civic infrastructure to the relevant state authorities to protect public property and ensure its proper use.
