Motorola has launched the Moto G Max, expanding its G-series lineup with a large 7,000mAh battery, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, and a high-refresh-rate display. The phone also focuses on durability with IP64 protection and MIL-STD-810H certification.
Design and Display
The Moto G Max features a 6.72-inch LCD with a Full HD+ resolution of 2,400 × 1,080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display can reach up to 1,050 nits in High Brightness Mode and uses Water Touch technology to maintain touch responsiveness when the screen or the user’s hands are wet.
Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the display. The phone also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance alongside MIL-STD-810H certification. It comes in Pantone Stargazer, Alaskan Blue, and Malaga finishes.
Internals and Software
Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 powers the Moto G Max, paired with 6GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Motorola also includes RAM Boost, which uses internal storage as additional virtual memory.
The phone ships with Android 16 and is promised two major Android OS upgrades along with three years of security updates. It also includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Cameras
The Moto G Max has a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 118-degree field of view.
A 32MP camera on the front handles selfies and video calls.
Battery and Pricing
The Moto G Max packs a 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 30W wired charging.
The 6GB/128GB model is priced at $293.
