LPG Becomes More Expensive

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas by Rs. 4.33 per kilogram for September, raising the new price to Rs. 258.65 per kilogram.

According to a notification issued by OGRA, the increase has pushed up the price of an 11.8 kilogram household LPG cylinder by Rs. 51.17.

Following the latest increase, the official price of an 11.8 kilogram household LPG cylinder has been set at Rs. 3,052 for September.

OGRA had already raised the LPG price by Rs. 12.89 per kilogram for August, taking the 11.8 kilogram cylinder price to Rs. 3,000.92 from Rs. 2,848.91 in July. The latest September increase therefore marks another month of higher official LPG prices.
