Lenovo is reportedly preparing a premium laptop called the Googlebook 15, featuring an OLED display, an Intel Core Ultra processor, and deep integration with Google’s AI services.
High-resolution images and specifications obtained by Mac Observer identify the laptop as the Lenovo GB 15IPH12, suggesting it will target a much higher segment than traditional low-cost Chromebooks.
15.3-Inch 120Hz OLED Display
One of the Googlebook 15’s main attractions is expected to be its 15.3-inch OLED touchscreen with a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels.
The panel reportedly supports a 120Hz refresh rate, reaches up to 500 nits of brightness, and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
That would put its display specifications closer to premium Windows laptops than conventional entry-level Chromebooks.
Intel Core Ultra and Up to 32GB RAM
The laptop is reportedly powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, paired with integrated graphics featuring four Xe cores.
Lenovo is expected to offer 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, alongside either 256GB or 512GB of storage.
The product documentation reportedly links the machine’s IPH platform designation to Intel’s Panther Lake-H platform.
Gemini and Google-Specific Features
The Googlebook 15 is also expected to feature built-in Gemini AI integration alongside Android phone synchronization.
Other reported features include fingerprint authentication, Google-based facial authentication, and a dedicated Google “G” key on the keyboard.
Lenovo has also reportedly added a multicolor LED strip near the hinge called the Glowbar, which can display information such as battery and charging status.
Wi-Fi 7 and Thunderbolt 4
Connectivity reportedly includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-A, HDMI 2.0 and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Despite its 15.3-inch display, the laptop is said to weigh just 1.29kg.
A 70Wh battery is expected to provide up to 11 hours of use, based on Lenovo’s internal testing.
Lenovo has not officially announced the Googlebook 15, and pricing or availability remains unknown. Until the company confirms the device, the leaked specifications should still be treated as unofficial.
