The closure of the railway track between Lahore and Faisalabad has disrupted the schedules of trains heading to Karachi, Quetta, Rawalpindi and other cities.
According to railway officials, the Karachi-bound Karakoram Express will depart from Lahore at 3pm today via Sahiwal.
Passengers of the Karakoram Express will be adjusted in the Mianwali Express running from Faisalabad to Karachi. The Mianwali Express will leave Faisalabad for Karachi at its scheduled time of 5:50pm.
Railway officials said the Mianwali Express, which operates between Lahore and Sargodha, will also be diverted and sent via Wazirabad and Lalamusa.
They said other train schedules and routes are also likely to be affected due to the closure of the track.
