Karachi Colleges Announce Academic and Co-Curricular Calendar for 2026-27

The Regional Directorate of Colleges Karachi has issued an academic and co-curricular calendar for the 2026-27 academic year for the first time.

The new calendar will cover academic activities, examinations, admissions, literary and cultural events, sports competitions, seminars, workshops, career guidance sessions and awareness campaigns throughout the year.

It also aims to develop students’ critical thinking, communication, teamwork, civic responsibility, ethical values, environmental awareness and leadership skills alongside their academic education.

According to the schedule, mid-term examinations will be held in mid-October and will cover the syllabus taught up to that point. College administrations, principals and faculty members will be responsible for conducting the examinations.

The admission process for BS programs will begin in the final week of November, providing students with opportunities to pursue higher education.

Intermediate preliminary examinations will be held in March 2027, while academic and co-curricular activities will continue in April.

Final board examinations are scheduled for May, according to the respective boards’ examination schedules, followed by practical examinations in June and July.

Regional Director Colleges Karachi Gulab Rai said the calendar aims to integrate academic education with co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

He said the initiative would help prepare students not only for their studies but also for higher education, practical life and professional careers.
