The Pakistan Navy has opened registration for PN Cadet Permanent Commission, Term 2027-A, in its Engineering, Operations, and Supply branches. Candidates can apply online from September 13 to October 11, 2026.
According to the official advertisement, the entry is open to eligible male Pakistani citizens. Civilian and serving armed forces candidates have separate age and marital status requirements.
Applicants must meet the educational requirements for their chosen branch. The Navy has also allowed eligible students awaiting their FSc results to apply with a hope certificate.

Age Limits and Eligibility Conditions
Applicants must be male citizens of Pakistan. The Navy will calculate their age as of May 15, 2027.
Civilian candidates must be unmarried and aged 16½–21 years. Serving candidates must be aged 17–23 years and currently serve in the armed forces in uniform. They may be married or unmarried.
All candidates must meet the minimum height requirement of 5 feet 4 inches.
Educational Requirements for Engineering Branches
Candidates applying for Engineering branches must have passed both Matric and FSc, or O/A Levels, with at least 60% marks.
They must have studied the pre-engineering subject combination of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
Educational Requirements for Operations and Supply Branches
Applicants for Operations and Supply branches must also have passed both Matric and FSc, or O/A Levels, with at least 60% marks.

Can Pre-Medical Students Apply?
Pre-medical students can apply, provided they pass additional Mathematics in their FSc or A-Level studies before March 15, 2027. Both advertisements include this condition.
Can Students Awaiting FSc Results Apply?
Students appearing in FSc can apply if they have secured at least 65% marks in Part I.
They must provide a hope certificate from the head of their college or institute. They must also complete their FSc/HSSC or equivalent examination before May 15, 2027.
Applicants who fail to secure 60% marks in their final result will face disqualification at any stage of selection or discharge during training.
IBCC Equivalence for O/A-Level Candidates
Candidates with O/A-Level qualifications must submit an IBCC equivalence certificate. This requirement applies to applicants for Engineering, Operations and Supply branches.
How to Apply Online for PN Cadet 2027-A
Visit the Pakistan Navy recruitment website and complete registration between September 13 and October 11, 2026.
Candidates must select their initial test date and time on the website. They should choose carefully because the selected recruitment centre and test date cannot be changed.
Applicants will pay the registration fee on the entrance test day. The supplied instructions do not state the amount. Candidates need a working knowledge of computers to take the entrance test.
Documents Required for the Entrance Test
Candidates must bring their original educational certificates and detailed marks sheets for Matric and FSc, or O/A Levels, issued by the relevant examination boards.

The Navy will conduct a computer-based entrance test with multiple-choice questions.
The intelligence section will cover verbal and non-verbal questions. The academic section will cover English, Mathematics/Physics and General Knowledge.
Shortlisting and Preliminary Selection
The Navy will publish shortlisted candidates’ results on its recruitment website during the fourth week of October 2026.
Shortlisted applicants will then attend a preliminary medical examination, interview, and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) at their respective Pakistan Navy Recruitment and Selection Centres. Candidates who pass these stages will receive ISSB application forms.

Candidates should check the ISSB website for their exact reporting date and venue. The instructions state that ISSB is not obliged to recall a candidate who fails to report.
ISSB-recommended candidates will undergo medical examinations at authorised Combined Military Hospitals or PNS Shifa. Naval Headquarters will make the final selection in order of merit.
