The Capital Mass Transit Authority (CMTA) has increased bus frequency on three routes to reduce waiting times and provide faster public transport services to commuters.
According to CMTA, the revised bus timings took effect on September 3, 2026, as part of a service upgrade introduced in response to growing passenger demand.
Under the revised schedule, buses on FR-08B, operating between Khanna Pul and Nilore, will now arrive every 12 minutes, compared with the previous interval of 15 minutes.
Similarly, CMTA has reduced the interval on FR-09, which operates between Khanna Pul and Golra Mor, from 15 minutes to 12 minutes. Passengers using FR-14 between Barakahu and Mandi Mor will also get a bus every 12 minutes instead of every 15 minutes.
The changes mean commuters on all three routes will have more frequent bus services and shorter waiting times throughout their journeys. CMTA said it revised the headways to improve convenience for commuters and accommodate increasing demand for public transport services.
The authority encouraged passengers to plan their journeys according to the revised schedule, which is already in effect.
