Islamabad Police Ends Contract of 29 Officers

Islamabad Inspector General of Police has made a major decision regarding contract employees and terminated the services of all 29 contract staff working in different departments, including police.

According to sources, former police personnel and officers were also serving on contract in various posts, and their contracts have also been cancelled.

A formal notification has been issued in this regard.

Sources said the contracts of people appointed on contract in the IT Department, including a director and a software engineer, have also been terminated.

The list of those whose contracts have been ended includes three law officers, four former SSPs and three former DSPs.

Sources added that after the IG Islamabad’s decision regarding contract employees, steps are also being taken about the future of other contract staff working in different departments.
