Islamabad Begins Action Against Illegal Indoor Shisha Cafés

Islamabad’s district administration has launched a citywide operation against illegal indoor shisha cafés after sealing three such establishments in the Civic Centre area. Assistant Commissioner Rural Fahad Cheema led the operation at Civic Centre, where officials sealed three indoor shisha cafés for operating illegally.

The action forms part of a broader enforcement drive targeting establishments that operate without the required legal permissions. The administration has directed field officers to conduct inspections across all areas of Islamabad without discrimination.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has instructed enforcement teams to identify illegal indoor shisha cafés and take action against them regardless of their location. Officials said inspection teams would continue visiting commercial centers and other areas in the coming days.

Businesses found violating regulations could face sealing and other penalties under the relevant laws. The administration said the operation aims to ensure that commercial establishments follow government regulations and operate within the legal framework.
